The simple house (Definition of terms, for the sake of argument, I classify a house simply as a normal residential building with no more than 4 bedrooms.) The simple house is the most prolific site you can encounter when sniffing out pre war buildings in general. They're all over the place. Their owners having vacated long ago, they're left abandoned in some surprising places, even in top locations nestled in between modern super mansions. Most of these houses have seen their fair share of theft from them. In the worst cases some have even had their entire wooden flooring ripped out, plus the wooden staircase! Anything made of metal is of course usually the first to be taken. So it's pretty rare to find a derelict site in its complete state. There are of course the exceptions.
