The barracks
perch right above most of the structures on the site. You can't but
think that this position at the top of Pengelih hill seems very vulnerable
to enemy fire?
Structurally the building looks solid and in typical tropical architecture
it has high ceilings and through ventilation holes at the top. The design
mimicks other barracks as seen in other WW2 British military facilites
in Singapore and Penang.
There are also 2 shower cubicles at the corner of this building as well.
These ceramic shower cubicles are maker stamped "Wm.B.Morrison
& Son. Glasgow".
